Our Program

Our Program:

Our program was developed over the past twenty years and includes the following:

  • Weekly brain retraining that rebuilds neural passages in the brain
  • Daily and weekly sensory building activities
  • Easy to understand instructions
  • Workbooks for independent activities
  • One hour weekly sessions
  • 20 minute daily sessions
  • Weekly lesson plans that are laid out for anyone to understand and use
  • The tried and true formula for success that helps students achieve grade level success

Our Approach:

The problem:  Students are presented with the same material that did not work in the first place.  Nothing has been done to correct the problem.

The solution: A holistic approach to learning goes to the source of the problem and corrects it.

  • Young learners are under tremendous pressure
  • Presenting these learners with more academics just adds more pressure
  • Key abilities for learning success must be met
  • Before academic skills can be learned, the student must be able to learn
  • The brain has plasticity and with easy exercises new neural pathways can be formed
  • The brain takes in information from the senses
  • If there is a problem in one of the sensory areas, then a breakdown occurs
  • By combining brain and sensory activities, the student learns how to learn
  • Academic success is then met

Cognitive Training:

A series of targeted cognitive exercises are performed that rebuild neurl pathways in the brain. This is done once a week. Once the left and right hemispheres of the brain can communicate with each other, activities that were once difficult become easy. For instance, since math is a left hemisphere activity, students who previously struggled in math can now learn and undrstand math skills and concepts.

Visual Processing:

Students learn to do a series of activities that help strengthen the eye muscles. Eyes can then move smoothly across the page. Proper eye alignment is also created through various activities. Perceptual skills are enhanced and reading becomes easy. Comprehension and fluency follow.

Auditory Processing:

Students learn to hear sounds and phonemes correctly as well as enhance auditory memory and discrimination skills. Once sounds are heard properly, reading and following directions becomes easier for the student. Frustration also decreases and temper tantrums over school work decrease.

Kineshetic/Eye-Hand Coordination:

Gross motor skills are performed early in the program. Writing and fine motoer skills can then develop. Many students are failing school simply because they cannot keep up with the writing portion of the school day. Few people know what to do about this. The exercises that enhance eye/hand coordination will help the student write easily and then be able to keep up with note taking and other writig skills that are required.

The Result:

  • Grades soar because the student can now learn
  • Self-confidence increases
  • The student becomes balanced and happy
  • Homework battles end
  • Grade level achievement is reached
  • Students can pass to the next grade
  • IEP's can be exited
  • Reading, writing, math, and spelling are no longer difficult

Latest question

Hi,
I had learned a little bit about brain retraining in the past and it involved muscle testing. I found this part very difficult. Do you find that it is a necessary part of brain retraining or are you finding success without using that???
Thanks :)
