Preparing Children with Autism for College

We all want our children to succeed. In order for them to do that, they have to have good education and good education is in question when it comes to people with learning disabilities. They have different needs from that of a normal student. So parents must help their children to prepare for college and be able to still succeed despite of their learning disability.
"With one in 150 children having autism, more and more colleges are beginning to address the needs of high functioning children within the autism spectrum. There are also several organizations that assist young people with ASD wanting to attend a university. One such organization is AHEADD, Achieving in Higher Education with Autism/Developmental Disabilities, www.aheadd.org/about.html."
Let us help our children succeed in life by supportin organizations that do lend a helping hand for people with autism and other learning disabilities.
